David Lewis, pastor of Ewell Bible Baptist Church, was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on February 5, 1953. He was saved on July 22, 1969, while attending a youth revival in Memphis, Tennessee. Pastor Lewis attended Tennesse Temple University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1975.

After graduating from college, he became the youth pastor at Fairwinds Baptist Church in Bear, Delaware. He also taught junior high and high school Bible, history and boys PE at the church’s Christian school. While at Farwinds, Pastor Lewis also coached high school soccer, basketball, and baseball.

After leaving Delaware in 1985, he and his family moved to Rohnert Park, California, where he became the assistant pastor of Berean Baptist Church. At this church, Pastor Lewis was the bus director and the youth director. He and his family moved to Alabama in September of 1990, and became the pastor of Ewell Bible Baptist Church.

Pastor Lewis and his wife, Cindy, have two daughters, Kristi and Valerie, and one grandson, Kyan.

 

Joel Milligan, associate pastor of Ewell Bible Baptist Church, was born in Louisville, Kentucky on August 10, 1979. He met Jesus in August of 1995, while attending a summer camp in Ohio. Bro. Joel attended Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, Florida.

While at college Joel studied youth ministry. He and his wife Kristi ran a Sunday school bus for two years at Trinity Baptist Church which increased their burden for teenagers.

After graduating college in 2001, Joel taught Bible at Trinity Christian Academy and coached varsity basketball and golf for one year. In 2002, God led he and his wife to Ewell as associate pastor.

Bro. Joel and his wife, Kristi, have one son, Kyan.

  Mark Barker, principal of Dale County Chrisitan School, was born in Gassaway, West Virginia, on July 21, 1950. He was saved on October 27, 1980, while attending a church service in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Mr. Barker joined the United States Army in 1970, and served our country in Desert Storm. He retired a Chief Warrant Officer (CW5) in August of 1997.

He then became the principal of DCCS. Mr. Barker received a Bachelor of Applied Science from Troy State University and a Masters of Business Administration in Aviation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Mark and his wife, Belinda, have five children: Adam, Kimberly, Hannah, Jennifer, and Joshua. They also have six grandchildren: Noah, Kaylee, Kaleb, Layla, Maycie, and Nalani.
